Dan repaired our door and some water damage on our ceiling drywall. He showed up on time and communication was perfect. He even had tools with him to make some other small repairs. Perfect service. Will use again

I had a unique situation with a huge old air conditioner installed into my window frame I wanted removed. Vincent did a great job getting it out, lifting it through a window, and carrying it down 3 flights of stairs. That thing was HEAVY! The job was tough but he worked quickly and the final bill came in less than the quote. Service:General repairs

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Chicago Handyman came out and repainted a wall in my West Loop condo and mounted a coat rack. The technicians were fast, efficient, and friendly. I've had the remains of a shattered shower glass door in my bathroom for THREE WEEKS and I called so many glass specialists, contractors, handymen, etc., and not ONE had the time or diligence to do this. I called Chicago Handyman and an hour later I had someone in my bathroom cleaning it up safely. I thought I'd have to schedule something and then they might show up and then it would be a whole thing but nope! They just come and do the work. I am really grateful to Dan and Leo. Thank you SO much.

I've worked with Dan on three separate occasions, which should tell you something. He's been a great partner, and fair every step in of the way - work is good, no nickel and diming, and he sticks to deadlines. No contractor is perfect, but Dan cares about the work he does, has integrity, and is a good communicator. I'll use him again. Services:Tile work installation, Remodeling, General construction, Flooring

Our bathroom ceiling had just been taken out and dried by a different company and when we reached out to them to this day still haven't given us an estimate to put up new drywall and light fixture on the ceiling but I called Chicago Handyman immediately and got an estimate and someone out here within a week and did great work and made our bathroom ceiling look like new.

We had Joe come out recently to fix a few things around our house: a leaky faucet, a misaligned door that would no longer lock normally and an exterior door with a rotten threshold and frame. We couldn't have been happier with the service provided; the company was responsive, Joe arrived on-time, his work was excellent and his attitude outstanding. We'll definitely use again for future projects, I would highly recommend for anyone in need of a handyman.

Dan and his team did a great job replacing my deck with a new composite deck. The goal was to prevent rot that is happening on a below ground level deck each year. Hopefully the composite works great. It sure does look beautiful! I'd recommend him for this project.

Dan insulated and installed drywall in our garage. The work was fantastic. He was able to conceal a bunch of ugly pipes. Yuck! Thanks Dan. We will work with you again.

Dan is a true artist in the field. Not only is his work great, and prices right, but he is so creative too! Not sure what his training is but he had the answer to every issue I threw at him with something more extravagant than what I even pictured. Great experience truly. Highly recommended!

A bit overdue review. We've had Dan in for our second project now, first one involving tearing down a wall to create a walk through, and the second for a shower leak through the kitchen ceiling. He has been extremely fast to respond, and he is on time! I've dealt with contractors in the past who don't even show up for an estimate! In response to a previous poster about one of Dan's sub contractors not showing up; that did happen to me too, and we were not happy about it. However, what deserves a 5 star is the way business was handled. $# happens in life that's beyond our control.

How we handle $# is what defines us. Dan came in himself to finish all the repairs. He stayed till 8, sometimes 9pm, and came in on saturday and Sunday. Thanks Dan for all your effort, especially around the new born!

I recently just sold my condo in Greek town and needed some repairs done after the inspection. I was referred to Dan by my realtor and I'm always skeptical of any new handyman or contractor, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dan is extremely professional and reliable. He knows how to fix anything! I also felt comfortable having him in my house because he was extremely personable and down to earth. I would recommend him to anyone and I'm sure all of his employees display the same work ethic as Dan!

I just moved into a new home and there were a few odds and ends and one broken garbage disposal that I needed help with. Dan got back to me right away. We spoke on Thursday and he was there the following Monday to help. He accurately estimated the scope of work, picked up the needed materials for the job and was very pleasant. I will definitely have Dan back for any additional needs.

Biggest Fan!. of Handy Man Dan with his Van. Drywall, Carpentry, Glassblocks, tiles, and general remodeling ok my partners and I needed some help with that, but electrical and plumbing OMG what a God send (I refuse to touch that stuff). He's very innovative in creating solutions, he's also amazing with other things like art, deco and sowing things (if u can believe it), AND he builds PRO-Grade Websites AND knows about search optimization that has gotten more than a few businesses off the ground AND flourishing!. Very well-rounded and funny too! Highly recommend his services, with very reasonable pricing:) I've got a few more things lined up for him presently as a matter o' fact! -Mark "Vibrance"

Dan came by to help with my hardwood floor when no one else would. He offered suggestions and help in a way a regular guy like me could understand. He turned a project I thought was hopeless into something manageable and affordable. His demeanor was super friendly, and he was very responsive in communication. I'll be sure to contact him again should a need arise. Thanks, Dan!

Dan is a great handyman and was able to figure out the camera situation I had half installed and complete the job. He worked with the appropriate tools and hid the cables as I requested. I would have him back for the next job in a heartbeat. Thanks Dan!

Dan was able to find the parts needed to repair a door in my apt. It was a perfect match and he did an excellent paint job on the trim as well. He was efficient and left no mess to clean up. I would call him again for any other repairs/handyman work around my apartment and recommend him to friend's as well.

Dan was a great help. I needed a loft built. I wanted to participate in the building so I was seeking a handyman to come and build it with me. I searched everywhere with poor results. Most people wanted to charge insane rates. One guy I tried to hire didn't show on the day of the build. Dan was awesome. He came when he said he would. We got the entire loft built in one day. Including a set of stairs. The loft has been up for about 8 months now. It was built safe and sound! Any future projects I will be sure to call him!

These guys are the greatest! Not only do they require the skills to get your job done correctly the first time, but as artists, they can offer so much more. They have customized my shower to look like an underwater fantasy land - you really should ask how they can help make your project look truly unique and professionally done.

Dan Shirley was awesome. He followed through on coming right over when I had a leak under the sink and something wrong with the dishwasher. Fixed all of that and even the front door on the way out. Awesome guy!
