GS Construction & Remodeling

We contracted with GS Construction to remodel our primary bathroom. We worked closely with Greg and Patryk and their bathroom designer, Jenn and their subcontractors. The entire process of design, estimated costs, demo, construction, follow-up, went very smoothly without a hitch. Quality of workmanship was great - old school. They were exceptionally easy to work with. They were honest, tidy, on time, and on budget. I have already referred two family members to GS Construction.

We had an excellent experience working with GS Construction on our primary bedroom and bathroom renovation. From the very beginning, they were incredibly thorough and transparent in outlining the scope of work, budget, and timeline. Everything was clearly communicated upfront, and they delivered exactly what they promised. When new things inevitably popped up during construction, we discussed our options and associated costs before proceeding.
Throughout the project, Greg, Caesar, and Patryk were proactive, responsive, and easy to communicate with. They were always available to answer our questions, address any concerns, and kept us informed every step of the way. When we had follow-up questions after the renovation was complete, they were just as responsive and addressed our concerns quickly.
We also really appreciated the care they took with our home. They went above and beyond to protect our living space during construction and did a fantastic job cleaning up afterward, which made the entire process much less stressful.
Most importantly, the quality of their work is outstanding. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every aspect of the finished project. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend GS Construction to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and detail-oriented contractor.

Greg & Patryk renovated our 1.5 baths into two full bathrooms, and we couldnt be happier with the experience. They were extremely communicative throughout the entire project, visiting frequently and responding to our questions within just a couple of hours.

Every subcontractor they brought in was professional, courteous, and easy to work with, which made the whole process feel smooth and well-managed. We had a fantastic experience working with Patryk and his team on our kitchen remodel. From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, and clearly took pride in their workand it shows in the final result. Were extremely happy with how everything turned out.

They managed the project within our budget and even came up with creative solutions along the way to help us stay on track without compromising quality. On top of that, theyve been responsive and proactive about coming back for minor fixes or touch-ups when needed, which speaks volumes about their integrity and commitment to their clients.

Greg, Patryk, Caesar and crew were very professional, experienced in their trade and personable. We had no problem living in the lower level with our 80 pound lab, who became their best friend, during our kitchen and main level renovation. They communicated when and what time someone would be coming, which was almost every week day. This being our first renovation they made suggestions, came up with work arounds and explained why they did things a certain way, but made changes when we asked. They are incredibly easy to work with, came in on budget, and completed the job early. Even after the job was complete they stayed in touch and made a few minor adjustments. We recommend them!

We used GS Construction for a complete kitchen renovation and are extremely satisfied with the results. Patryk worked closely with our designer to meet and in many cases exceed our expectations. They installed the custom cabinetry made offsite through our designer and coordinated all the necessary craft people (flooring, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile, and painting). They were also able to custom build a mudroom bench and cubbies to fit a small space. Bottom line is their craftmanship is really good, they take the time to do it right. There were challenges that came up in our 125 year old house but Greg was able to develop and implement creative solutions and was fair when it came to change orders. There were of course delays but they generally filled us in when needed and were willing to answer any questions we had along the way.

We were so fortunate to have been directed to GS Construction (Patryk, Greg, and the crew) for our home remodel. My wife's parents did a complete first floor remodel, which turned out amazing. The attention to detail was obvious and that was enough for my wife and I to feel completely at ease when we hired GS to do our project as well. From consultation to finish, Patryk and Greg were completely professional and reliable, and able to turn our lofty vision into a reality. In fact, they employed their knowledge and expertise to make our project far better than expected. Besides a kitchen demo and remodel, essentially an entire first-floor remodel, and multiple second-floor projects, we even unexpectedly made the decision halfway through the project to completely refinish the basement and turn this portion of the home from an unusable space, or at best a storage area, to a beautiful, functional area that matches the beauty of the rest of the home. In summary, GS Construction's knowledge, workmanship, creativity, and customer service make it a pleasure to write this review and unyieldingly recommend GS Construction for a construction project of any size! From bottom to top, their people care about doing the right thing, they are active listeners who ask for feedback, and have a very positive attitude in achieving excellence in the little matters which leads to big beautiful renovations. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra, said a prominent fb coach, and its true in renovations. Greg Szady and Patryk Szady have high quality people and actively work with my selected and excellent designer Jenn Peterson to put my first floor into the 21st century and beyond my expectations. The designer selected very high quality materials and Patryk and Greg delivered excellent renovations installations and detail. Kudos especially to GS flooring experts because everything transformed beautifully. No one has paid me for this review or told me what to say.

We recently completed a near-total first floor renovation in which we re-drew the original (1963) floorplan. When we selected GS Construction, we had faith that our project would be completed to our specifications but, admittedly, we would not really know for sure until we were finished. Five months later, we can say we were extremely pleased with GS Construction with the final result and the process itself. From the very beginning, it was clear that Greg and Patryk were on top of our project. Before demolition, they offered a clear plan and timeline about what we could expect. When demolition began, they communicated almost daily to tell us what was next, what decisions we needed to make and when workers would be on site. From demolition to final inspection, there were fewer than five days when workers were not actively working on site. Greg and Patryk were also terrific partners in helping us make the best decisions for our home. They considered what we were trying to accomplish and how to best achieve it for function and for cost savings. They handled our changes easily, always working to minimize costs. One of the other things that we came to appreciate from Greg and Patryk was the quality of the work supplied by their sub-contractors. They were top notch and so respectful to us in our home. That, we believe, is a reflection on Greg and Patryk as well. All the tradespeople had very high standards. Its clear that Greg and Patryk set an expectation for the highest quality work and their teams delivered. We wholeheartedly would recommend GS Construction for any home renovation project. High quality work on time on budget with a fully engaged and contributing father and son team that was a pleasure to work with.

G&S construction did a complete renovation of my bathroom. They came highly recommended and they did a wonderful job. I felt very comfortable giving them my house key so that they could come and go while I was at work. I love my new bathroom!

Patryk, Greg and his entire remodeling team are friendly, professional and always do an amazing job working with us to configure/tailor the project to fit our needs. We have used GS Construction for a full basement remodel, kitchen remodels and an upstairs bath remodel. Greg and Patryk do amazing work and are incredible to work with! GS Construction completed two extensive bathroom renovations for us, including completely reconfiguring layouts and expanding one. Both bathrooms are absolutely beautiful, and they have significantly improved our family's quality of life in our home.
Patryk and Greg are great communicators, take pride in their work, and have good attention to detail. Throughout the project, they really listened to us, took the time to understand what we wanted, kept progress going in a timely manner, and provided expert advice/suggestions and help on specific questions along the way. Every one of their team members did high-quality work. We couldn't be happier with the end result, and definitely will hire them for future renovations!

Patryk (and team) were the best to work with. They helped us with a remodel on our basement (including the addition of a dry bar about 4 months later) and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. They were transparent with us through the entire project (through crazy supply chain issues). When they couldn't get something they were up front with us providing options that might be easier to secure to finish the project in a more timely manner. His entire team is honesty so delightful to work with and have in my home. I've had contractors in my house where it's somewhat uncomfortable and Patryk's team is all amazing. The communication about when they would be coming by was seamless. And as a woman (who was basically running this project) they weren't condescending or rude to me either. I cannot wait to work with them again and would hire them in a heartbeat.

We remodeled our kitchen during the summer of 2020. Patryk was outstanding. He was even ahead of our estimated timeline by the end of the project (we were held up a little because of our cabinets - Patryk obviously couldn't control that, but he did make sure that other tasks were completed so that when the cabinets did come in, we still basically finished on time).

The professionalism was top notch, and the quality was outstanding. I would recommend GS for any project.

GS Construction is a reliable contractor who did top quality work at a reasonable price. We completed a first floor remodel (kitchen renovation with wall removal, half bath remodel, new hardwood floors, updated laundry room) which required carpenters, plumbers, hvac and painters. Their attention to detail is amazing and the work was completed right on schedule. We are beyond thrilled with our updated house! I would recommend GS in a heartbeat and will definitely call on them when it is time to update the rest of the house.
